Dental TV Ads

TV advertising for dental marketing can be quite an adventure.  It can work well, but it's important to avoid the pitfalls.  Going in the wrong direction here can be a very expensive mistake.

Most of the ad reps in your local area will try to sell you a package with a bunch of 30 second ads.  These are a total waste of money.  You need to look into doing higher quality longer format ads.  Something that people are surprised by that gives them time to take action.

I always had my best success with TV ads that were 90 seconds in length.  It was also best if we were being interviewed by someone in the commercial.  It made us look more credible and got hundreds of people to take action.


The Cost of TV

The main problem with dental TV advertising is the cost.  You can spend upwards of $5000 on just the creative and then you have the run cost.  Spending $15000 per month or more is very easy to do depending on your market.

This form of advertising is wrong for most dental offices, but if you are promoting some of your higher ends services it might be worth it.
